Welcome to the Beach B&B

Pohutukawa Beach B&B and Cottage are situated on a 14 ha organic Angus-cattle farm close to Whakatane, Bay of Plenty, in an idyllic location overlooking the Pacific Ocean. There are outstanding sea views from Coromandel peninsula to East Cape and to many of the nearby islands. Glance up from the breakfast table and see White Island, New Zealand's most active volcano 50 km offshore. Sometimes dolphins and even whales pass by.

Our farm between Tauaranga and Whakatane is the perfect accommodation place to relax and unwind either in the garden, at the swimming-pool, or walk just 100 meters down to the sea to enjoy a stroll along an isolated New Zealand beach.

We encourage visitors to stay several days at the Bed & Breakfast or the Cottage as there is so much to see and do in the Bay of Plenty and the Whakatane area! There are many nearby attractions to visit, New Zealands constat active volcano White Island a 'must see'. Prinz Tours Ltd, our family-owned travel company, is able to organise almost anything for you.

Dr. med. Jörg Prinz offers Family Counselling and Health & Life Coaching here as well and the B&B is open for people wanting respite care. Counselling sessions for visitors to the B&B can be booked on site.
